No.132 FAC Flight Hovering Hawks

132 Forward Area Control Flight was formed at Udhampur on 24 Feb 1986. The Flight was raised as a result of the overall plan to provide airborne FAC support to the fighter aircraft of the IAF in J&K sector. In Oct 97, 135 FAC Fit was merged with this Flight. Though the nomenclature of Flight is retained, it is a virtual Units with an establishment of 08 Cheetah and 02 Chetak helicopters and 22 pilots. The Flight's Area Of Responsibility includes the entire J&K sector, northern Punjab and western Himachal Pradesh.
